When it comes to fashion production and engineering, Portugal has secured its place as a global player. Renowned for the quality of its craftsmanship and overall expertise, the country is also strong when it comes to product design.
Some of the world’s leading and most innovative fashion companies are actually located in Portugal, especially within the fields of manufacturing, yarn and fabric production.
Paris was chosen to showcase an event involving some of the best companies within the Portuguese industry.
An evening event, took place on the 30th of September at Galerie Nikki Diana Marquardt in le Marais, and presented these companies in a new light, creating multi-sensory experiences and visual delights.
The evening event treated selected guests to ZONA INDUSTRIAL, a digital immersion installation — under the creative direction and curation of Portuguese designer Miguel Flor — in an industrial environment evoking the movement and dynamics of a factory where the skills, abilities and innovative products were amplified through video and photography.
The Portuguese companies have become the sourcing partners of some of the best brands and designers in the world.
They are involved in every step linked to the production of some of the world’s most refined and beautiful garments. ZONA INDUSTRIAL celebrated their excellence, vision and unparalleled know-how, that makes them key assets for the Portuguese fashion industry.
ZONA INDUSTRIAL MODAPORTUGAL is a new concept promoted by CENIT (Portuguese Centre of Intelligence for the Textile Industry) and ANIVEC (Portuguese Association for Clothing and Apparel Industries). This initiative is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, through the Portugal 2020 Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation.
