Polopique was founded in 1996, as a result of the initiative of its founders, Luís and Filipa Guimarães, to develop the activity of manufacturing clothing items.

The textile industry has always been present in previous generations of the couple’s family, which consolidated this will to create the Polopique project and certainly contributed to its success.

The company is a world reference, present in more than 40 countries and with more than 80 years of experience in the textile industry.

The growth strategy of the Polopique Group has been pursued through the vertical integration of its production cycle in the value chain of the industry. This allowed Polopique to be one of the few completely vertical units in its segment in the world, controlling production from spinning, weaving/electric finishing to clothing, including R&D, innovation and design.
